Holiday Spectacular: A Survivor's Story

I want to talk a bit about Holiday Spectacular. It's a show I'm very proud to be a part of.  It's a 40 minute, 14 person form directed by Billy Merritt.  For the first few weeks we created the form, which looks something like this: 3-2-1-2-3-2-1-2-3. Looks a bit confusing? Well, if you remember that the world of 3 is the pageant, and the world of 2 is a sit down documentary, and 1 is scene work, you will begin to be able to follow this form. We also created our own characters, and improvise as those characters throughout the show in a world that we have created.  As rehearsals went on we created the town of Sugar Falls, Iowa, that has been reeling since a huge bus crash where half the town died. We have one more scheduled show at UCB Franklin tonight December 19th at 5:30pm, and I can't wait to perform. We have big plans for this show, and hope to bring it to the Del Close Marathon (DCM)  in NYC this summer.  Here's an amazing faux documentary we created to promote the show. Hope to see you there tonight!!
